    I am currently teaching Grade 6 Language Arts and Religion.  I have 18 years of teaching experience with the Diocese of Greensburg and local public school districts.  I am a member of St. Bruno Church, and live in Greensburg with my husband and daughter.

I have taught in the Diocese of Greensburg all of my career. I began teachng at St. Florian in United, moved to St. Paul in Greensburg and am presently at Aquinas Academy. I am a member of Holy Cross Church in Youngwood. I belong to two math organizations: NCTM and Laurel Highlands Mathematics Alliance. At the present time I am the FIM Coordinator and a Eucharistic Minister at Aquinas Academy.

This is my second year working for the Diocese of Greensburg as the PK-6 music teacher. I am also entering my 4th year of teaching drumline for the Greater Latrobe High School Marching Band. After graduating from Greater Latrobe High School in 2012, I attended Seton Hill University where I graduated from in 2016 and earned my Bachelor of Music degree and K-12 Teaching Certification. I am now pursuing a Master's Degree in Special Education, K-8.

I attended Geneva College in Beaver Falls and received an elementary education a Bachelor of Science degree. I have an Instructional Certification II in elementary Education. I am married to Dan Mahoney, who is the Athletic Director at Greensburg Central Catholic.   We have three children, who all attended Aquinas Academy and then Greensburg Central Catholic.  I have been teaching fourth grade at Aquinas Academy for 20 years; I also teach 3rd grade science

Also, I am the athletic coordinator for all the sports that Aquinas has to offer.

  My Name is Rick Papurello, I have beeen employed at Aquinas Academy since 2012. I teach Health and Physical Education in grades
K thru 6.
   I have an Instructional II certification from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and 9 Graduate credits from California University of Pennsylvania in Special Education.
   I started my teaching career in the Diocese of Pittsburgh in 1988, teaching 25 years along with 2 years of teaching experience in the Leechburg and Southmoreland public school districts.

   We have just recently finished up our "Jump Rope for Heart "event in the Gym. Everyone had a great time with all the fun games and we raised money for a great cause.
    This coming March 9th, 10 of our 6th graders will be "Bowling for Disaster Relief" at Main Street Bowling, another great cause.
   In the Gym, we have been doing agility and coordination activities, running and tag games, and many team games. The students are getting great exercise and having a bunch of fun.

I am Kathleen Poole.  I graduated from Greensburg Central Catholic then attended California University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education.  I taught at the former St. John the Baptist School in Scottdale; the former St. Bruno School in So. Greensburg then came to Aquinas Academy when the merger took place in 1995.

After Graduating from Greensburg Central Catholic High School, I attended the University of Pittsburgh. It was there that I met my wife and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. I then attended Seton Hill University to earn my teaching certification. Once certified K-8, I began teaching at Mother of Sorrows School in Murrysville.  While there, my wife and I had two sons and I went back to school to earn my Master's Degree in School Administration. I earned this degree from Duquesne University and became principal at Mother of Sorrows in 2007. In 2016 I moved to Aquinas Academy where I am the current principal.

Smart Boards have been installed in all homerooms from K-6. New curriculum has been written or is being written in all academic areas. ACT Aspire practice testing has begun and will be completed with all students from 3-6.

I attended the University of Pittsburgh and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature with a minor in Political Science. In 1993 I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of Pittsburgh. From 1993-1995, I was a fifth grade teacher at the former St. Edward School. After staying home with my children I returned to teaching in 2002, first as a grade 1 teacher at the former St. Edward School and then as a grade 2 teacher at Aquinas Academy. I have an Instructional II Certification in Elementary Education Grades K-6. My husband Danny is a graduate of Greensburg Central Catholic.  We have been married for 25 years and have 3 children.  Our oldest daughter and son attended Aquinas Academy.  Our youngest daughter is currently a student at Aquinas Academy.

I am a product of  Catholic school education as I attended St. Agnes School  for grades 1-8. Upon graduation from Norwin, I attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania. There I received an elementary education Bachelor of  Science degree. Permanent certification (instructional II) was earned through Penn State University graduate classes. I began my career as  a substitute teacher at Norwin. My first job was a 5th grade teacher at St. Paul School. Upon merging with the other Greensburg Catholic schools, I began  teaching at Aquinas Academy. I am teaching grades 2 and 3 math, grade 5 English, and grade 4-6 Spanish.
I was married in 1997 to Dennis. We belong  to Sacred Heart parish.

The end of the 3rd marking period is next week. Therefore I will be closing the books on firstinmath on Monday, March 27. Any points earned after that will be for the 4th grading period. All students will need 300 for this time. Unfortunately not everyone has met their goal yet. Please try to get this done before Monday.

I have been employed at Aquinas Academy since 2000 teaching Art and Social Studies.I was previously employed in the Ohio County school system in Wheeling, West Virginia.
I have a permanent Instructional II certification in Art K-12, and Secondary certification in Social Studies.
I graduated from Fairmont State College in Fairmont,W.Va.

This year grades 4,5 and 6 are participating in stage crew, working on sets for the Spring musical on May 4,5,6. Mr. Rice and Mr. Neffield will be helping. Grade 6 Art; students are working on their masks which will be displayed at the farewell mass. The Art show and Spring concert will take place April 19th.

My name is Annette Ustazewski, and I am honored to be the First Grade teacher at Aquinas Academy. I have been working as an early childhood and elementary educator in the Diocese of Greensburg for over twenty years. I attended Seton Hill University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.  At Seton Hill, I earned a dual certification in early childhood and elementary education as well as my Instructional II teaching certification.  My family belongs to Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. My husband and I have been married for twenty years and have two children, both who attended Aquinas Academy and Greensburg Central Catholic.

I graduated from Clarion University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently working on completing my Level II certification.
I began teaching at Aquinas Academy in the fall of 2015. I am currently the Preschool 3&4 year-old teacher and First Grade math teacher.

For the week of May 8 - May 12:
PK 4 will have music class on Wednesday. PK 4 will also celebrate Italia's birthday on Wednesday. Preschool will not be in session on Friday due to the crusade.

PK3 will attend music class on Thursday and will be learning about number 10. They will also be working on a farm unit this week.

First Grade will have their Chapter 9 math test on Monday.
